Club Pleasure Beach started life in 1992 as the 235 CLUB; a promotional initiative to sell advanced boarding tickets for 'Project 94' - the Pepsi Max Big One!

Over 1000 boarding passes were sold, auctioned off or given to business partners ahead of the world-beating coaster opening in May 1994.

Many of the boarding pass holders were enthusiasts of Pleasure Beach, keen to be the first to try the record setting coaster - a first for Europe and now an icon of modern times.

Such was the popularity of the opening day event, Pleasure Beach decided to continue with the '235 CLUB' and held several events over the following years, such as a birthday party 1 year on, midnight riding and presentations with designers and consultants involved with the project.

In 1998 the club was formerly handed over to an elected Chairman and Vice Chairman. Although still very much the parks clubs, the emphasis was now on the membership to run the club and develop new and exciting event ideas.

Over the last 2 years the club has undergone a significant restructuring, with a new team and a greater working relationship with Pleasure Beach.

As part of this change, and to reflect the changes taking place at Pleasure Beach, the club was renamed in 2006 to 'Club Pleasure Beach'. The new name reflects how the organisation has changed from a ride-focused group to one that now actively enjoys every aspect of Pleasure Beach.

Club Pleasure Beach is the only official organisation for friends of Pleasure Beach, endorsed by Pleasure Beach.
